Restoration Classes

Not a group class. Not a workshop. One on one, on your own piece.

You bring the piece — yours, or one you're thinking about buying — and we work through it together. Real assessment, real answers, real plan. Over 2,000+ pieces of experience, pointed entirely at your project.

⚠️ Important — Please Read Before Booking

This is an audit, planning and technique session — not a hands-on workshop. Your piece will not be completed during the session. I'll show you some techniques along the way, but the actual restoration work happens afterwards, either by you. This session is about getting you set up to delivery your own project.

What It Actually Is

Most “restoration classes” mean a group, a set curriculum, and a piece that isn't yours. This is different — it's private, built entirely around whatever you bring.

But it's also not a workshop: in 45–90 minutes we can't complete your piece. What we can do is assess it properly, build you a clear plan, and show you some of the techniques you'll need.

What's Covered

  • 🔎 The Full Assessment

Is it dirt or damage, what level of work it needs, structure, hardware, timber, worth it or not.

  • 📋 A Clear Plan

The order to do things in, what it'll need, roughly how long.

  • 📝 Your Restoration Roadmap

A written summary of the session, so you walk away with something to actually follow.

  • 💬 A Straight Answer on Value

What it's worth as it is, what it could be worth done properly, and whether it's a worth your time.

Who This Is For

Anyone with a piece they want to get right — whether that's because you love it and want to keep it, or because you're curious what it could be worth once it's done. Both are good reasons. We'll cover whichever one's actually yours.

Format & Price

$249 — 45–90 minutes, in person at the workshop in Whangaparaoa, or online if you're not in Auckland. Same session either way.

Common Questions

What do I need to bring or send?

The piece itself if you're coming in person, or clear photos from a few angles if we're doing it online.

Will my piece be finished by the end of the session?

No — this isn't a hands-on workshop. It's an audit, a plan, and some technique shown along the way. You leave with a clear Restoration Roadmap, not a finished piece. The actual work happens afterwards, either by you or by us as a separate job.

How long does a session run?

45–90 minutes, depending on your piece and how deep we need to go. You'll get a specific time when you book.

What happens after?

You get your Restoration Roadmap, and the choice to take it from there yourself or have it done for you. Or join our community to be guided through the project.

I'm not in Auckland — can I still do this?

Yes, the online session covers exactly the same ground.
